Are there any ponds or lakes near you?
I can always find a ton of dead insects near my pond. Or even molted shells.

Or, since houseflies are always around, you could use the eye of one of those if you can manage to get close enough (I have a good trick for this if need be!).

Nah, I live in the city and the only place like that is the river, which is blocked off.

Thing is, it's got to be in tomorrow (I know I know, but I was catching up on six weeks of English coursework and forgot about it), and I'm not seeing any insects around my house

Or any cork board laying around?

Or even make yourself cold, and do goosebumps. Heh.
