I'll continue to continue, to pretend, my life will never end, and that flowers never bend, in the rainfall.

I'd have to go with something along the lines of "End Scene" or "Fin."

Beautiful song.

I honestly can't say I would know what I would want my last words to be. I think it would depend on what I was dying of and the events that had caused it/led up to it.

Personally, I have a hard time really appreciating the significance of "last words." I know that, obviously, the last thing you say is the last thing you say, but I think the words that I'll use throughout the rest of my life will carry with them a great deal more meaning, particularly considering that if I die of old age in a hospital bed after a long illness, my last words may very well be "I really wish they'd served the red Jell-O after lunch" or something along those lines. I also have no intention and see no purpose in making a great speech before I die, unless I'm executed publically like Anne Boleyn. Really, it all depends on the circumstance. Knowing myself, if I happen to die of anything but old age, my last words will likely be something along the lines of "...oh shit."

On the one hand, the death bed is a stage at which stroking one's ego becomes irrelevant, and so sanctimonious speeches or boring insights about oneself are rather unnecessary, but on the other hand it's a situation in which everyone is forced to pay solemn attention and one should make the most of that. Or perhaps something non-verbal might be in order. Kickin' it old school with a protracted groan, or a single tear rolling ponderously down my wizened cheek. And there's always the death bed conversion to Scientology to consider. So many choices, so few breaths remaining. Ultimately, I think I'll go with "bye" and a death rattle. I'll have more important things on my mind than this rubbish. Namely "oh shit oh shit oh shit i'm gonna die fuck fuck fuck oh my fucking god i'm sorry i repent oh fuck i don't wanna die".
