The reason the gay rights movement has been working is that until recently, it has been a peaceful movement, which gains tremendous sympathy in the public eye, but if the recent trend of in-your-face, violent behavior continues, you will lose most of the support you have gained over the last couple of decades. People don't like violent assholes, no matter what their cause, people like other people who look like victims, and aren't lashing out because of it. But if you think you can "pry it from the christian majority's hands", lol, then go ahead and try. In case you didn't notice, you said "CHRISTIAN MAJORITY", which means you won't win a battle of strength.
