i grew up speaking both and i'm trying to learn russian now.
French and english use the same alphabet, and there aren't many sounds in the french language that are hard for an anglo to pronounce. once you've got your r's rolling and understand the spelling v. pronounciation that is sometimes confusing, you'll be well on your way.

It's as hard to learn french as almost any other language.
Languages are really hard to learn. but french is fun.
I'm learning it now and my teacher always says its a lot harder for french people to learn english.

How hard it is to learn any given language depends largely on the language(s) you already speak/are familiar with. You can't honestly believe that an English speaker would have as much difficulty learning French as they would learning Vietnamese?
