I find it very similar to English. It's much easier than German, for me at least.

But learn tenses of verbs[verbes] are really painful.

On l'appelle "Old French," et non "Ancient French," en anglais. "Ancient" a le sens de quelque chose plus... ancien que "old."

Besides that, c'était la langue normande et non vraiment le français qui a apporté ces mots en anglais, n'est-ce pas?
