I have to get a CAT scan and I'm scared. |

For those of you who don't know what a CT Scan is: http://www.radiologyinfo.org/en/info.cfm?PG=bodyct&bhcp=1 I've been having a constant headache for the past two weeks mixed with dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting and overall, hell. My doctor wants me to get a CT Scan because I have all the symptoms of a brain tumor: Headaches that tend to be worse in the morning and ease during the day
Seizures or convulsions
Nausea or vomiting
Weakness or loss of feeling in the arms or legs
Stumbling or lack of coordination in walking
Abnormal eye movements or changes in vision
Drowsiness
Changes in personality or memory
Changes in speech
Except for seizures or convulsions. If that's not it, she'll send me to the neurology unit for migraine treatment. But I'm scared. What if it is a brain tumor? What if it's cancer? What will I do then? I'm freaking out.

seizures and convulsions are the main symptoms, sounds like you have stress related ailments

Don't be worried about the CT scan itself, I've had one before and it's not that daunting. But i suppose the idea of what its going to reveal is probably scaring you more at the moment and i don't blame you i would petrified, but you need to keep your chin up. I know that's easier said that done, but you just need to put it out of your mind until you have it done and get the results, then you can go from there.
