A few years ago, some bad stuff happened with my ex girlfriend and I. We fought really badly, and there was this big ordeal surrounding her being sick. The short version is, she thought it was an std, which she got from a guy who "forced" her into fooling around with him. So she was scared her parents would find out, and didn't know how to get help/get better. It was pretty bad, like she was really sick, and had these open sores on her legs, from what I saw.

Anyway, long story short, every time I tried to get her to go to the doctor she wouldn't. In the mean time, we broke up, and starting fighting (she cussing me out, so I fight back with her). Eventually I ended up telling her dad, so she could get medical help, as she wouldn't talk to me anymore. I was really depressed at the time, because I cared about her, and just from all the stress of the situation. So when her dad talked to her, she brought it back on me, and basically made me feel even worse, so I ended up having a breakdown, and had to go to the hospital.

After that, I tried to talk to her about it a few times, but she always reacted really harshly, or didn't respond.  Needless to say she was pissed off about it from her point of view.

Since then (a few years now), we still haven't talked. And honestly, what happened still bothers me. Sometimes to me, it seems like she doesn't care, hence that is why she blows me off, but I don't really know. Whenever I see her, she won't look me in the eyes, and its always really uncomfortable.

Anyways, I'm sick of it weighing on my mind. So I want to settle what happened. So that involves talking with my ex. I tried to ask her sister for help to talk to her, but she isn't of much help.

How can I get her to talk to me, so we can put to rest the bad stuff that happened? Mostly I want to avoid her ignoring me.

Also, any opinions on if she really doesn't care, or just hides it?

Thanks
