I think that started out as something that had the potential to be interesting/halfway intelligent and then it crashed and burned.

Naaah. I don't do serious.

That's the nature of science and discovery though. Nothing is ever "proven". It's all theoretical because it could change as our understanding does. It's ridiculous to assume that because something isn't "proven" then it doesn't work. There is though, plenty of evidence to support -for example- electricity, evolution, genetic principles etc. It's not the job of science to "disprove" religion though. The evidence is stacking up though. Frankly, I don't know how it survives in this day and age with all the evidence to the contrary.

Is probably not true, I mean, even Hawkins admits now that is a flawed suggestion.

However, nor did some person who impregnates women from the clouds make the world out of faeces in 3.57 days or whatever the bible says.

Science will someday explain it all, as it has already explained evolution, despite the (actually quite tedious, Lord of the Rings is better) novel: The Bible, by various scholars) disagreeing with this, claiming something to do with a tree and pubic hair.

So until we know all, just remember, God probably doesn't exist, so stop worrying and enjoy yourself.

Someone who obviously doesn't know much about both Science and Religion. Come back once you've done some research.

I will try, I mean, I will continue to post completely serious posts with no trace of sarcasm, antagonism, satire etc. etc. until the end of time.
