The "Human race" makes literally no sense though - why not use the "Human Species" instead of race, something humans are divided into?

Sure, race has other meanings, but the fact is - why use race when it's commonly used as categories of humans for the whole species?

The "Human race" is a pointless phrase. It goes against biology and implys that humans have no genetic variation among themselves.
