I will go to Afghanistan eventually, but I think its about time the other UN nations started pulling their weight in Afghansitan, because we need more help in the Helmand province, not only that but we're relying far too much on the crack regiments - the paras, marines, and SAS, to keep things under control.

I agree with pulling the British out cos the Americans and other NATO forces are doing fuck all, but not because of that. You sign up to the army eith the knowledge you could die, your family knows it. I just think Britain should match the other forces rather than being the bulk.

The Us have about 18, 000  Source whilst the british have just under 8000  Source

my brother and a friend of mine are both in afgan at the moment, both joined the army willingly knowing that there was a possibility they would be sent there and i respect them and everyone else in the forces, english or otherwise, so much for doing their job so well regardless of the moral view of whether they should be there or not.
