From what you've written, you've actually made numerous grammatical mistakes (especially excessive comma usage).  It appears that Chino knows English better than you do.  It really isn't strongly implied that you meant 'some'.

It also sounds like your tone is derogatory, which isn't so nice to come across.  You could have just said, "Oh, I see how you could be confused.  I wasn't trying to generalize,"... but instead you acted beyond reproach and as if Chino were stupid.  I don't like you, nor will I care to respond to your response to this portion of my message.

Anyways, to get back on topic, I suppose at least some men like it because it appears primal to them.  Others may like it for variety.  As said, some people think it is tighter.  It's a really opinion-based question, so you can't have a 'wrong' answer.

Yes, I make excessive comma usage mistakes, but at least i know when something is implied, or not. If everyone else can get the implication, then you and Chino surely can, too. I'm not going to change something, for the fact that two or three people don't get it. The majority gets it. The majority apparently has some English background.
