I do 6 modules for my degree at the minute.

Next week will be the beginning of week 6.

So far I have bought one book. I havent even read it much. I had an MCQ exam in the module and passed it. Thats the only exam Ive had so far.

I havent bought any other books. Mainly because I cant afford them, yet. Hopefully once my atm card is re-activated Ill be able to buy a couple.

I dont know why I havent taken the main recommended books out of the library. I guess b/c its more complicated and I have to take them out and return and reserve and shit.

Anyway Ive done no background reading in 4 of the modules. Im a fresher

Am I going to fail my exams?

Probably not.

Professors deal with SO many different kind of quality-levels in their grading, I'm sure they put up with a lot of crap.

Just put in enough effort to get the credit

If you pay attention in class you should be fine, although there IS a reason they make you buy text books besides them making money. There are always exercises in the books that you have to do and quizes and questions etc. Are you just lazy and didnt want to get the books? If you dont have any kind of drive to succeed, then why the hell are you in school?????

I think your reading skills need work:

I havent bought any other books. Mainly because I cant afford them

Dont throw insults unless theyre justifiable.

It really depends on your learning style. I need to read. If I just attend lecture, I will not benefit enough and will pray for a decent grade for exams. It also depends on the prof's teaching style. Some lecture right out of the textbooks, which is simultaneously pathetic and useful.
