I know, you've all probably seen it. But for those of you that havnt, its real footage.

I always thought that if I joined the British army, I would have to put up with shit, cause I'm from the Republic Of Ireland and Catholic. But, my friend filled me in on some details. 16% of the british army is Irish. There is no racism.

I've been told this by an American Marine, that once you're in, there's no space for racism. I now feel that its true, after seeing that video.

I dont know why...the situation in the video...it happened, it seems to relate to me. I dont know why, but a millitary career has always been towards the top of my list. So I think I may go for it, IF I do not get the amount of points I need from the leaving cert for the course I want to study.

I'm going to possibly join the reserves next summer, just to see what it is like. Its nothing like the real army, so I've been told, but it would give me a glimpse...
