So this guy I know claims that he recovered this 'repressed memory' of being six and being buttraped by his eleven-year-old uncle. He'd completely forgotten about it he says, and then repressed memory therapy (probably someone pretty shotty) helped him recover it so now he remembers. He's gay btw but claims this incident has nothing to do with the fact that he's gay.

1) Have you ever heard of an eleven-year-old child buttraping ANYBODY?
2) Show me one instance of a repressed memory being proven to repress a sexual assault. Just one.

I didn't offer him many kind words when he told me about this and since then hes been a complete asshole to me doing whatever he can to get rid of me, harrassing me, being mean to me in general. i mean i said I was sorry about it happening to him but I didn't come up with a whole list of "I am sooooo sorry this happen to you, i can't even begin to comprehend the pain..." crap. so he's mean to me because he was attention seeking and didn't get to use me like that basically. i mean he 'alludes' to this incident all the time in order to attention whore.

Does anyone else think his story is more or less bs?? I believe he believes it's true, but...

You're calling BS on his story because he has difficulty talking about it in detail, yet it comes up a lot? Do you think that might be because it DEEPLY AFFECTED him? personally i dont think so, why would he go to repressed memory therapy to begin with if he didnt know about it, and an eleven year old raping anybody anally is sort of hard to imagine from a logistics point of view
