I once read they would reject you to move, get a citizenship or simply visit NZ if you're fat. The reason: they don't want to spend the Health-care System's resources on any of the diseases related to overweight.
Okay, this may not be an answer to your post, but I wanted to say it.
no way! surely this is a myth. if NZ government did this it would shut out vital profits from tourism.
