If less people buy from these "puppy mills", they will either cease or slow down the puppy raising.

exactly. these "puppy mills" breed dogs purposfully. a dog in a shelter had no higher choice to be born. so why not adopt a dog that was born sort to say accidently.

you don't make sense. they are not lovingly cared for. they are kept in filthy, wire bottom cages in a filthy barn. they never go outside or see the sun.

The animals are tortured inhumanely.
People should not be buying the animals, because buying the animals supports the companies that are torturing the animals.
It is better to CLOSE OF PET MILLS and adopt the pets.

It is outright wrong to support companies that abuse animals.

Right, every single puppy "mill" treats dog inhumanely...that's major BS. You sound no different than a PETA activist.

Breeders take care of their animals.
Puppy mills do not.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

There is a very specific reason that puppy mill dogs are cheaper.

Every breeder takes care of its animal?
Every "mill" mistreats its animal?

You are trying to put yourself up with God epistemologically. FAIL.

I can't believe you are sitting here trying to defend puppy mills.
You, I thought, were actually intelligent.
Clearly I was wrong.

Your stupidity concerning your generalization is apparent. Again, you said:
"Breeders take care of their animals.
Puppy mills do not. "

Prove every breeder takes care of their animals. More importantly, prove puppy "mills" do not take care of their animals.

And don't just post a video exposing one or two puppy mills, yes, I know there are some places which truly are "farms" and they treat puppies and kittens cruelly, but as I said, four or five examples does not even remotely qualify as valid evidence supporting your claim that ALL  or even most puppy "mills" mistreat their animals.

No responsible breeder allows a pet store to sell their puppies. No responsible breeder allows their puppies to go to homes that have not been checked, to be sold without any guarantees, to be taken from their mothers earlier than 8-12 weeks depending on breed, to be shoved into tiny cages where they get little-to-no exercise, to be sold for outrageous prices.

Not one.
End of story.
Any and all responsible breeders will tell you that.

I call bullshit on the animals being shoved into tiny cages where they get no exercise. I call bullshit on the entire, irrational, meritless claim that ALL puppies bred in farm-like conditions are treated inhumanely. As I said earlier, the only evidence I've seen to support a PETA activists claim that the puppies are mistreated is one or two videos showing puppies in inhumane conditions. Again, these sparse examples do not rationally allow a generalization to be made on all such places. Do you know the term, "generalization"?

I love how you failed to pay any attention to the rest of my post. Proving that you're the one full of shit.

PeTA is a organization of idiots. They are not the ones who discovered mills.

Of course not, that is capitalism. Pet breeders have no obligation to sell pets to pet stores when they can get more money by selling them straight to people for a couple grand.

This is not just to you but others who have responded earlier,
Can prove such allegations that the pets are treated cruelly; by being taken from their mothers too early, confined in quarters without exercises and play, etc? If you cna prove this is normal practice then your descriptions are accurate. If you cannot, then the familiar allegation put forth by you and others about pets enduring horrible conditions in puppy "mills" is propaganda.

The fact of the matter is, there are animal welfare laws and many made partciularly for cats and dogs. To maintain they are treated cruelly when it is uncommon and illegal is lying.

PeTA is a organization of idiots. They are not the ones who discovered mills.

Too right, but they do make sure everyone knows how much they hate puppy mills.
