Over-rationalizing things can cause delay and inactivity. That is one of its problems.

logic isn't the only way There's: Logos Pathos and Ethos I could argue that logic isn't reliable by using either Pathos or Ethos
Since you gave one of the only legit answers, I'm going to respond to you. In a sense, you used logic to prove me wrong. To rephrase what you said: Logic is not the only way to prove logic isn't reliable. There is logos, pathos, and ethos. Therefore, pathos and ethos can be used to prove logic isn't reliable. Not exactly an example of deductive reasoning, but very similar. Care to argue back? I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you; I'm just making sure I can defend my argument tomorrow.
Logic is wrong, do you not see how immoral it is to use logic at times? it takes away emotion and bases itself in fact completely. There's no feeling! There's no nature of humanity at all. It's so factual, that it's almost as if we didn't have a soul, as if we used the brain to an extreme point where we did not think about how our hearts felt rather than what our brains thought.

I would say now you are not using logic. You are using a fallacy--specifically Ad Misericordiam (or appeal to emotions)--which I have concluded is not a good argument. Although in truth I've enjoyed what you're saying. Mind if I use a little of what you wrote in my presentation tomorrow? Post edited at 11:54 pm on Oct. 9, 2008 by fezzy

But you must have used logic to reach a conclusion.... or else it is a hasty generalization (another fallacy).

Logic is sometimes stiff. If everything goes along with logic it can't be flexible. People are unique in their ways because everyone has different feelings and one way we communicate is through our feelings. If things are all based by logic, we can never achieve what we have now.
------- History Lesson: Me: "Why do we need so many sources?" Friend: "To go with our french fries?"
