So I recently started my new job at a home for the mentally ill. It was my 2nd day on the job and my friend's future step-dad and his mom are the top people there and they hired me. It's an OK job but it only pays $7 an hour, min wage for 8 hours of cleaning up disgusting messes,and doing a bunch of other things it's an okay job that I don't mind too much. But on my answering machine today I got a call from this place called Pet Land where i had applied at back in June and the lady asked on the message if i was still interested and would like an interview. I have ALWAYS wanted to work with animals as I want to become a Vet Tech. It would probably pay a bit more than I am making now. I only work 3 days a week at this job i'm at now =/ Should I try to work 2 jobs or go for the interview and see? idk what to do.

i agree. just remember, working in a pet store is not just animal interaction. actually. they usially keep animals in terrible living conditions. if i were you, id run the petstore into the ground. rabbits dont belong in fish tanks stacked on top of eachother.

This. It's more relevant to what you want to do in the future (I want to be a vet tech as well), but you'll probably just end up really pissed off at the way you see the animals cared for. I know of people who have quit pet store jobs because they get so sick of it, but as an employee you really have no say.
That said... I would at least go for the interview and take it from there, see if you actually would prefer it over your current job.

yeah. i want to be an animal massage therapist vet. i couldnt work in a pet store knowing how badly they keep theyr animals.
