Since being Notetaker for my Math class was going so well, I decided to ask about being Notetaker for my Programming class at the end of last week. But now I'm not so sure I want to do it anymore and here's why:

1. Programming is tough. I'm a newbie so I gotta work hard to keep up and understand what's going on. As a result, I really need my notes. Like right in front of me. Not online where I have to keep going back and forth between my program and my notes. If I'm taking notes for the deaf kids in class, I don't have notes for myself. I have to wait until they're uploaded and I can't print them off because I don't own a printer and I live off campus which makes getting my notes annoying.

2. The girl who sits beside me is one of the deaf kids I'm taking notes for. She's probably the most vocal (aha...) of the bunch and probably requested notetaking services ASAP. But she's also one of the most annoying...just because I have to sit in class for two and a half hours a day, twice a week and take notes but she just kind of sits there...and reads shit on Oprah.com and CNN.com and looks at YouTube clips... Now...the girl is deaf...not deaf and blind...so that's why she has an Interpretor in every single one of her classes. So she can pay attention in class just like I can...but she doesn't. Today, she even walked off for about ten or fifteen minutes to get a coffee. I feel like I'm wasting my time.

The thing is...I haven't actually started taking notes for that class yet. I was too sick to go Monday and got there today and realized...shit...I'm behind now...and I'm confused...I'm not taking notes for them, I'm taking notes for myself today, fuck them.

I could either quit...which I kind of want to do...or give it a go and just say, "Sorry, I was sick Monday and forgot my notebook today."
