In my opinion, 'genetics' has become a crutch for people to not achieve their potential. When one thinks that the best are 'better' than the rest by virtue of innate traits, then one doesn't even try, and assumes a more 'humble' role in life. It seems like blaming stuff too much on genetics is actually a form of social control.

I'm genetically predisposed to having male pattern baldness, and do you know what I'm gonna do?

Like, believing the best in sports, in academics, in math, in perceived 'intelligence' are the way they are because they have a genetic advantage that makes them better than everyone else.

In some cases, true. Like Savats. And that person that had a PhD by 12 years old. But true, in majority cases, its not genetics.

Given how easy most 'classes' are, I wouldn't say that about the latter. In the right setting, I could have probably graduated college by 13 or something, since most of the time I spent in school I did absolutely nothing. In some cases like savants I guess. But I'm just talking about in general.
