I work at the disabilities centre at my uni. This is the first time I've seen someone use the computer reader (the voice that you can turn on, which reads everything you do/see on your computer)

The blind lady had it set to an incredibly fast pace. It was too fast for me to understand, even if I was visually reading the words at the same time. Not to be insensitive, but it reminds me of learning an instrument - amazing for the outsider, intuitive for the person.

Do you know if it takes a lot of practice to develop that comprehension?

Do you know anything else that the disabled use that requires practice?

I go skiing, and use crutches that have skis on the bottom of them.. that requires some practice, unless you want to end up on your arse lol.

Hmm but I dunno. Wheelchairs are harder to push over long periods of time than most people think.

I'm on a Mac and I just found that I can't even set it as fast as she had it.
