Do you remember back in your childhood when your feelings are primal, sensitive and hard to reasonably think about? I don't mean pre-teen hormones.. but early childhood, when everything feels inexplicable and overwhelming? It was like that for me. But I'm not sure how common it is, and not everyone will remember it, so I'm just wondering. All I know is that it is somewhat typical in childhood.
And do you know people who are adults (or teenagers) who have not grown out of this, and can't deal with their emotions? I know people like this. And it seems that they try to avoid feeling, just so that they don't get into awkward situations where they can't deal with emotions "reasonably" (by adult standards).
I just want to hear your thoughts and experiences with others or yourself. Thanks.
For me, when I'm at a difficult point in my life and everything's taking a toll, I seem to go back to feeling this way. And I can become speechlessly retarded about being logical about it, so I just let it be and wait until my brain works again. I mean for weeks it would go like this, it seems like emotion itself is different on that level or something. It's not just being unreasonable while upset, which everyone does from time to time. But that's just me, how about you or people you know?
