I've always lived in the Midwest and I'd like to try somewhere else. I've been to Colorado and have really enjoyed it: I love the outdoors. I'm a rec and tourism major (yes I know! It's an actual major!) and the best place to go for jobs is the western U.S. It's almost unheard of that they actually get recreation majors out there. They're quite impressed when they do get one. I guess not many of their colleges offer that specific degree.
I don't want to say Colorado's too "typical" but yet it kind of is. When people around here want to go on a ski trip or wherever, it always seems to be Colorado. I've been to Utah too--briefly. It's a nice state, and it doesn't have the damn humidity or three feet of snow in the winter like Minnesota has. Even though I've got a few years to decide, what do you think about Utah?

Well... Its alright here! I complain about living here sometimes. But it isnt THAT bad. Our schools are getting alot better latley. And we do have some nice colleges. [BYU, UofU]
Recreation..as in skiing? Then id suggest Provo, Utah. Its a nice place. The olympics have been held there. They have some fun events like the Arts Festival, which i attended this year.
If you want anything else, message me!

i live in utah. provos actually perfect because you have four ski resorts within a hour away, a couple of lakes near by, the canyon and the mountains which is great for hiking, camping, longboarding. you have the summer which is perfect for everything with water, and then its not freezing in the winter, but we get a ton of snow (best snow on earth). fall is pretty with all leaves in the canyon too. plus we have delicate arch, and all the sweet national parks which you probably would love
