It was an argument about policy between a few support leaders and one moderator.  Some feel that per this faq:
 FAQ: Why was my reply considered non-contributive? (click here)  

Saying "go ask a moderator" in the M2M forum is considered no contribution as that is what they are doing. MariJani and others feel that it is unnecessary to remove it. We removed it at first to see which SL kept hiding it over and over. Then re added it.

There is still discussion on if that is allowed or not. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Well, If I had said "send A message to a moderator about it" would that change it? cause thats essantially what I meant.

yeah then i wouldn't have voted to hide it, because that would've actually been a clear way to tell the OP to do something that they weren't already doing by making the topic.

but idk about other SLs or mods
