Today I got notice my employment is terminated as of next friday. The reason: I explained I didn't desire to work on weekends as I had alot of manual work to be done at home. Those of you who know me know I was disabled from sept-2006 to oct-2007 so I take it easy. The other reason: I don't know my way around the city. I'm not sure if I'm fired or laid-off yet. I never signed anything saying I had to work weekends but I did work them anyway to please my employer. But they are keeping me to work another week so maybe its just a lay off.

Having the weekends off (which I've never had) is a right that was fought for in WWII; Hitler wanted to abolish weekends as he felt it hindered national productivity.

This is pretty hard for me since I was injured in a roll over last winter costing me my job and 6 months to find another job. Before that I was disabled after a factory job, and injured in a forklift follover the year before. I just can't seem to find a job. Do we have any rights in Canada anymore?

If I'm fired I'm filing a suit as I never signed any contracts, I was initially asked to work only weekdays. I'm sick of being pushed around my people with huge amounts of money. I was fired from a job for going to the hospital before. I'm ready to freak out

So you are sue happy?  Getting fired doesn't constitue a reason to sue.  You lost your job, get over it and get another one.  They can fire you for anything they want, whether or not your contract specified it.

An indivial can can sue for wrongful dismissal. I was also refused to be paid overtime. I noticed something was wrong with my pay a while ago but I was so happy to have a job I stayed quiet. I have to do something because I've been taken advantage of and have nothing to lean on.
