Man, all my life I've been single (I'm 19 btw). I've been trying since 7th grade to get a gf. Most of the time I'm really shy around them, but sometimes, and I don't know why or how, I will go for the girl I have my eye on.

I hate that it's like that for me and I was wondering what I need to do to find me a gf.

Frankly I don't think this advice of "just wait" or "when your time comes" adds up. You have to actually do *something* to have any kind of chance. Just don't try too hard or get desperate, but don't sit around and expect things to happen out of thin air. Because especially if you're shy you're going to have to work at it.

Keep your head up. Maybe your standards are too high? Maybe people dont even know you exist. Do you talk to the ladies? Can you get a #/date? Have you asked your friends if they know anybody?
