Obviously sykexl is simply misinformed, there is no need to attack him because he hasn't fully researched the topic.
I wouldnt say that, due to the fact that he hasnt made an argument yet.

Why would I bother explaining myself to someone who the first thing they do is imply I don't know what I'm talking about and not even bothering asking to explain myself? I feel fine with telling you are wrong and leaving it at that. I'm not here to convince you of anything. Sorry I'm not that interested in changing people's beliefs on any given subject. I'm just interested in stating mine.
I was going to refute you with a reasoned argument, but since you apparently have so little respect for evidence that you don't even use it yourself, I'll just tell you that it is, in fact, you who is wrong. Many people die from addiction to alcohol. Alcohol is addictive in a literal, physical, sense. Not only are there withdrawal symptoms, but you can die from alcohol withdrawal alone. Marijuana, on the other hand, is significantly less physically addictive than, say, chocolate. And it is impossible to die from marijuana withdrawal or an overdose of marijuana.
Feel better now? You are still wrong you know, but whatever. I'm also interested in how you would refute me given I gave no argument. Post edited at 10:00 pm on Nov. 7, 2008 by sykexl

Look, just because you have finally voted in a left-leaning (in context to American politics, in global political compasses he isn't even that left) president instead of a socially authoritarian nutjob for once doesn't mean that America is going to turn into an economically socialist country with libertarian social policies whilst retaining and massively improving it's democratic system. Unfortunately.

I didn't read through all 5 pages so i don't know if this has been said yet but....Obama will not decriminalize marijuana because he can't. The president can't just decriminalize something he doesn't like. The presidents job is to enforce the law. He could maybe make people stop enforcing the law, but to decriminalize/legalize marijuana the congressional branch of the government would have to act.
