Has anyone, anywhere, undergone Cognitive Behavioural Therapy whether it be for an eating disorder, depression, self harming, drugs or alcohol abuse?

Did or has CBT worked for you?
Have you ever relapsed into old behaviours post CB Therapy?

Is anyone undergoing CBT at the moment?
do you feel that it works?
do yu worry about a relapse?

I personally don't believe cognitive behavioural therapy works but wanted to find out if i was alone in this thought, or whether people know or believe that it works for them

All answers are highly appreciated

I have been in it 3 times
Obviously for me it is not sustainable

1st depression

2nd depression + SI

3nd ED, Depression and SI

I am currently in counselling atm
with some CBT
I again doubt it will last, if it works at all

I do believe you have asked this before?

It's working for me I guess, but it might be because my therapist is amazing.

Its always good to have one of those.
I have only come across one good therapist... and I don't see them anymore

It's just counselling. Talking things through helps some people more than others, dont knock it until youve tried it. Id give it a go. I am.

i have tried it twice and both times it was unaffective. i see a less conventional therapist now who is amazing, and ive started to make big changes.
