So, I do the Friday overnight here (I can sleep, but I'm working from 9pm to 9am and just have to wake 8.5pm around 745am).

I cant' tell you how many times things have messed up in the morning in terms of the next staff.  At the beginning, it was they came at 9, and suddenly it changed to 8.5.  Ok... well, there goes .5 hours, but I can live with that.  Then, whenever new staff would come, they would show up at 9am... now their late.

And every now and then, they mess up the scheduling and no one shows up.  The normal person didn't show up yesterday.  Turns out someone else was suppsoed to work.  But when they called that lady, she had no idea she was supposed to work...

I think this Saturday was the third time, that no one came.  So instead of finishing at 8.5am, they finally got someone to come at 10am.  I've almost missed a meeting when this happened once before.

I just feel like that morning shift is often times cursed O__O.

talk to your supervisor?

They know it happens, and there's not much they can do around it.  It's poor scheduling on THEIR part, so telling them won't change anything.  Basically, there always seems to be some sort of miscommunication every now and then on that shift, and things get messed up because of poor planning on my supervisors part.

if it bothers you that muc, you could always just get a new job with a company that works more efficiently, or get your shift changed to a more reliable one.

I live where I worked.  If I quit, then I wouldn't have a house to stay in any more.

Things do get messed up often, but I need the money.  It's really poor management, and that's irritating, and sometimes it comes down to the workers to have to pick up the supervisors slack... but that's life, right?

Where do you work?

I have two rooomates that are mentally disabled, and I help support them.  The overnight shift is just waking up in the morning and getting them dressed and ready to start their day.

I typically don't when talking about work.  That's a bit more personal information than necessary so I don't usually give it out in the main post.
