I've been open to finding a g/f for about a year now, and I haven't been successful. I've asked three girls out on real dates and have been turned down all times. Just a few days ago, I asked this girl in my class with whom I had gotten friendly with if she wanted to go out for coffee and she said she wasn't interested. I have successfully gotten girls to come out with me on "pre-dates", but they've never blossomed into anything.
I'm not insecure about my looks. I've heard enough compliments to be confident about my physical attractiveness. I also have a very diverse set of talents and interests, ranging from sports to arts. I don't think I'm a boring person.
But I'm Asian, and I can't help but wonder if that's somehow negatively affecting me. I'm not socially insular, and I'm very open-minded (the girls I've asked out have been Middle Eastern, hapa black, and white).
Is it supposed to be this difficult?
