I still feel like I don't have any answers. I got a lot off my chest, but it's not enough. He told me to write every day and document how I feel when I feel it (Like depression and anxiety.) but I do something like that. I write here and I have a private journal (That I haven't updated.). It's not helping. If anything it makes me feel more hopeless and complicated.

On a bright note, I get evaluated by the doctor on the third and prescribed some feel good meds. Maybe that'll help.

On a bad note, my roommate has obviously been in my room snooping. It's not obvious in an obvious way, but I know my own habits. like, I don't shut my night stand drawer and it was closed. My door wasn't firmly shut when I came home and I always smash until it crunches. My phones box was askew as well as some papers. Not worth confronting him, but still irritating.

Feel good meds aren't good.

They'll numb you and turn you into a different person.
The best way to get over your sad feelings is to stop dwelling on them. You just exacerbate them by worrying about why you have them...

Well thats very good that you are getting evaluated.
Maybe, when your writing, try to write about the good things going on instead of the bad. Do the bad sometimes, but always add something good.

Thank you for making me feel even more hopeless and saying what every other human being has told me. I was counting on that doctors appointment.

My advice is to stop just writing how you feel and dwelling on it, and to start writing how you feel and figuring out WHY you feel like that.  Figure out the source of the problem...don't just acknowledge that it exists.  Then try to start changing these negative thoughts youre having about everything and instead figure out solutions to the problem.

Treating depression involves active cognitive participation.

Meds arent going to wash it all away (although they can help)

Five years trying to work it out and I'm tired. That's all I do is think about why I feel this way. Think, think, think.

You can't give up.  I'm sure it's been hard but unfortunately life usually doesn't just work itself out.

Therapy should help.  Now's the time to really work at turning things around.
