I'm not sure if a topic like this has been made in here before, but whatever. I'm sure you can all answer again for me. =)

Anyway. So I'm currently helping out a few friends with some things and it got me wondering whilst I was browsing on here. How many of you support leaders are supportive outside of LiveWire? I get the feeling that you all (or most of you) have a naturally caring side to you, so does that play over into "real life"? Are you always whizzing about helping people where you are? Are you the kind of person who's "always there" if someone needs a chat, etc.? Or is LiveWire just someplace you can help and, not that you wouldn't give help outside of it, but just don't (whether that be because the opportunity never arises, you don't feel comfortable doing it, whatever)?

Enlighten me, I'm curious.

Yeah, everyone talks to me about anything quite easily. People have always said I'm just someone they feel they can trust and who actually listens and advises than ignores and TELLS them what to do. Apparently I'm extremely impartial as well. And don't get to the point of interfering.

Like, the dude I'm now living with I've been in love with forever [he's my best friend now, that's it]. Him and his girlfriend were having huge arguments like a year back and trying for a baby. I was just like "just don't bring a baby into that environment, you know it wouldn't be healthy". And I could have easily destroyed that. I'm glad I didn't though, she's uber lovely <3.

People always realise what I'd advise is never for MY personal gain, either. I try to do what I truly think is best for someone. No matter what feelings I have for whoever. Even people I dislike I'll look out for.

People often ask me for help/advice.

I'm not proud that normally I'm a bitch about it and laugh at their problems.

I am very much always there for people. On my course, I am the Support Officer, where anyone can come to if they're struggling or just need advice on anything.  That covers all 4 years of the course.  I always try to help, sometimes it's quite hard to seperate yourself though, and I find myself taking little breaks

I don't really talk to many people (especially not around my own age), so there is never a chance for me to support anyone. I would love to, but I am just too shy.

I'm willing to help any one of my friends that come to me for help. While some do, most don't. Here's the thing. With my friends, most have their favourites (so to speak). As in, we all are closer to maybe one or two from the group so that person would probably be the only one that knew if something was going on. Some kind of friendships, I know. It kind of sucks, to be honest. I would always be willing to help any one of my friends if the wanted too but generally, I'm the last to know what's going on or I'm just never told. My best friend is probably the only person that I have helped out really since she tells me everything. I've helped her out recently actually. She isn't really apart of the group I was talking about, though. She lives next door to me while the group are mainly my school friends and she went to a different school. I just don't get the chance to help others when I'm always here if anyone wanted help.

Oh, for sure I am. Those who know me, know me as caring, kind, trustworthy, and a great kid really. The girls think I'm a sweetheart or a gentlemen, and I always treat them with respect, and with the guys, I'm impartial, I'm a guy, and guys aren't much more then guys. But, when a guy friend needs help, I'm the one who is there, whether they knew I would be before or not, and I'll help them. And of course, same with the girls. I'm the one they turn to, well, that the girls do, for someone to talk to. And it's seeming like because of that, two of them are semi-fond of me, which I am back, even though I don't express it much at all really.

Outside of LiveWire, I try and be as supportive as possible. But I always worry that I give my friends the wrong advice.

Also, people who don't know me super-well think of me as crazy, wild, funny, fun, but nobody knows that I can be nice too. Nobody knows that if they need to talk I can be there, you know? I don't know how to let people know that I'm not just the person who jokes in class, that I can listen and I can try to help.

I'm quite supportive outside of livewire. Livewire has helped though, some topics I didn't have a clue what I was talking about, thus I researched them -now I know about them, so I can help my friends out, etc, etc.

I don't really help people. They usually have dumb problems, and they usually don't ask for support from me because I don't really have friends. But when somebody does talk to me about something that's on their mind, I'm responsive and somewhat supportive.

I try to be as supportive as I can for my girlfriend though.

Yeah, I sort of need to be too. I am the Welfare rep for my hall so I sort of act like a real life SL where people can come talk to me about any problems they may have. I am very approachable and friendly, so whether it's my friends looking for some comfort or support, or someone I don't know that well, I am always free to talk.

Outside of LW, I'm usually the person seeking help, not giving it. But I can be a good listener/sympathizer if one of my friends are telling me about their troubles.
