My opinion is that the Church just used him as a way to convince people God is real. As far as I know, he wasnt even referred to as the true son of god until centuries after his death. He was just a man, as you said. Nothing more

Yes, the BIBLE whoo! Written by a bunch of dudes, who were HUMAN causing everything in that book to be substantial, and possibly incorrect. Oh yes let me go back and read that corrupt bullshit. Eh, no I have been raised to be Christian, hearing all the classical bible stories thousands of times. In fact, enough to question it, and find the loop holes thankss. 
See, once again youre throwing out blind statements. Many historians of the time wrote of a Jesus of Nazareth, including Tacitus and Julian Africanus.
