I think that it's hard to say. There are a lot more people who go to high school than go to college/university (obviously not every high school graduate will go to college). It does seem that many more people in college are open to new experiences, and it is definitely not uncommon for someone to have their first drinking experiences in college, so I would assume that the same would be true for smoking.
