Well I have joined the local volunteer Fire Department and since I will be responding mostly directly to the scene they recommend me get emergency POV lights and siren. Red/White which is legal over here. Any recommendations? It will be in my Camry, I think one of these in the front and back would look be acceptable. Don't think I need any in the grill?

Im also moving on from 911 to full time police :D so I am going to go ahead and get one of these baby's on the front of my car,

My front bumper doesn't have a place already for a front plate so what will I need to add one?

That would suck...I'm sure it would be fun to beat the shit out of a car they give to you.

I will be assigned either a Tahoe or Impala for Police duty. I am using my personal vehicle for Fire department calls since they don't require high speed risk taking manuvers all that much. I would never take my personal owned vehicle on a P.D. call after seeing what they do to those cars at the academy. But lights and sirens for Fire calls I don't think even give me the required legal right of way, most people will see it's a firefighter and move nicely but you will get some jerks who won't and I can't do anything about it.

Isn't the production of the Crown Vic's about to stop even for fleet use? When is a replacement supposed to be released

Production was supposed to stop this year, but its not even close to it. I heard rumor they may be extended until 2010.

They're mainly marketed to old people and police, it seems.

You're very observant. They're also popular with cab companies.

you will need a front license plate bracket. go to your toyota dealer and have them order you a plate bracket for the front bumper and have them install it so it's done right.
