i live in a strange family. i never really get peace as my dad, who has a severe temper, gets incredibly instense, almost psychotic! at mere tasks like getting us to do the dishes and if we don't acknowledge him. but he is also a very weak man who i could never feel safe with because he is so fucking irritable and intense. but if you get past his fucking anger you realize he is kind of a wuss.

basically my dad has frightened me so much that i can't seperate fact from fiction: walking through the mall is as scary as pushing in carts at target, as scary as walking through downtown pontiac (guns and violence are there). I have frequently tried to tell other family members about it but they say i should just bear with it until i move out. how did i ever forgive him? im just NOW starting to feel emotions again! he's the reason i've had dreams of killing people and beating the shit out of him! How do i know to respect people without fearing for myself?

Wow.
Dads suck, mine has basically disowned me for the way I dress and how I act.
I couldn't put up with his bullshit anymore, so I left.

dads don't have to suck! but from what i've read, famous actors, musicians ect. had horrible dads. i guess some people don't have the strength to take abuse for too long though.
