It is good to teach them as student will respect other's faith more

why is religious faith deserving of respect to begin with?

You should bew able to learn about all of them!
  From Christianity to Evolution.

I want you to punch yourself in the face, because I can't do it.

 why is that?

Evolution isn't a religion. It's a scientific theory. Shogun has demonstrated on numerous occasions that he does not know this.

may I ask why you quoted me? Some people consider Christianity science so I guess the statement can be legit in some ways.

I quoted you because you seemed to be wondering why Shogun should be punched in the face; there's your answer.

No, I do not think Religion should be taught in schools.
Children are hardly able to grasp the concepts of religion and as such should not be forced to try and understand what is really beyond their intellectual ability.

I personally think religion is something that perhaps had a place in the past to explain the unexplainable. Nowadays I believe it to be quite an uneducated view to take. If people wish to find comfort in religion, they can do so outside of school.
My experience of religion being taught at secondary school is looking at a controversial subject - abortion, the death penalty - and then 'What do Christians think?!'
I couldn't give a FLYING FUCK what Christians think. I do not wish to know what a ridiculously broad group of people's morals about a subject are.
Religion in schools would be just about acceptable if we were simply taught about different faiths and what they believe. Although I still don't give a shit, at least one is becoming more "rounded" and "educated".

NO! They should NOT teach religion! They should never even say the word! They make such a big deal about it that people are using it as an excuse to divide themselves. Schools should teach be extremely tolerant to other peoples views, and to only be intolerant of division and hatred.

Science on the other hand should be taught a lot more, not the science we have now. More useful science, hands-on stuff.

You think tolerance lies in complete ignorance of all viewpoints but your own?

Who said to teach only what I believe in? Personal beliefs are just that, personal. Teaching it in school makes it seem a lot more important than it is, if it isn't made a big deal it won't be a big deal and thus, tolerance. If people were interested in religion they learn about religion. This would only make religion about as significant as it really is, not very.

Religion, true or not, is very real and very influential. The majority of children are raised in religious households, and therefore will consider their faith, or their parent's faith, to be significant. The fact that most will not bother to research other religions will breed prejudice and fear, not tolerance.

Religion is influential when people accept it as influential(obviously), thus, the less religion we put on an alter, the less power religion has. Religion should stay as a personal belief, nothing else.

And religious intolerance is not brought up because children are upset others don't take time to learn their views. Religion is inherently intolerant(not to say religious people are). And if the educational system taught more about equality, and love, instead of focusing on how different we all are, religion will be less and less relevant.

They came hand in hand.
Religion, and inequality.
King and servant, white and black, man and woman, human and animal, my religion and your religion, my god and your god.

Religion is influential when people accept it as influential(obviously), thus, the less religion we put on an alter, the less power religion has. Religion should stay as a personal belief, nothing else.

Religious education is a reaction to the significance of a religion, not the cause of it. If something has a great impact on how the world works, children should be taught about it.

And religious intolerance is not brought up because children are upset others don't take time to learn their views. Religion is inherently intolerant(not to say religious people are). And if the educational system taught more about equality, and love, instead of focusing on how different we all are, religion will be less and less relevant.

You can't love something you don't understand.  We fill the gaps in our knowledge with xenophobia, and everything we are unfamiliar with becomes sinister. Which is why Islam is a towering spectre from the East threatening to engulf our civilisation, and why Wiccans worship the Devil, and why atheists are evil deceivers.

When you learn about people you notice that ultimately they're just people and we all act in pretty much the same way and the new kid with a headscarf can be your friend too and it's all just a liberal wet dream of multicultural harmony. Or something along those lines.
