In England, a 15 year old cannot get married. At 16 you can marry with your parents' consent, and at 18 you can marry without their consent. If someone wanted to marry at 15, I guess they would have to move to somewhere they allowed it.

Well, is it a marriage in a religious or legal sense? Becuase I suspect she could have her marriage recognized by various churches. If she's looking for for the state to recognize her marriage, though, it probably depends on a number of factors, most of which have already been mentioned.

Well, this hypothetical girl should think about a couple things: 1. Money. -->A. Are you going to have a wedding? Or do you just want to pay the $50 to get a marriage license and be done with it? I think as a girl, chances are you're gonna want a big shindig with plenty of money spent on everything. -->B. Your house, car, foodat h, etc. Are your parents just going to give you money? Once my kid is on their own, unless their in dire need of some fast cash, I wouldn't support them too much outside of the house. -->C. Potential children? Are you planning on having kids? DO you have a plan for that? 2. Husband/Boyfriend -->A. Most boys are immature, and don't know what they really want. If he changes his mind in a year, you're goign to be screwed for giving your life to him at such a young age and with little or no backup plan. -->B. Assuming he's older and will provide for you, is he going to go to college? Has he been through college? (That would be illegal). 3. Schooling --> Are you going to go to college? Highschool? Or drop out and not go to college? If you don't, this'll leave you in a very tough financial state. Perhaps more. :/
------- Everybody look at you 'cause you're sailing on a FAILBOAT.

Parental consent, and even then, it would depend on the State she was in in the US. Some states would still not allow it..and in Missouri and South Carolina she could get married without parental permission.
And to add to it, its really true. Its really not that uncommon down here for 16 year olds to get engaged and married. They say you get your freedom at 18, but its almost 16 in SC.
------- So here's my goodbye, no one will cry over me. I'm not worth any tears.
