Why you can't have WET or a "White Club"  |

So many people on this site complain about how racist people would think they were if they made a WET or a "White Club" at school. Let's be practical about this. First, about WET. What EXACTLY would you put on WET anyways? Would you put Grey's Anatomy on that channel? But wait, what about that one black guy and asian girl? Do you kick them off, or do you put the show on Asian TV or BET? What about shows that have White Hispanics (Hispanics of European descent) on them, like Selena Gomez? On her show, she's speaking English, so do you put that on WET, or on Telemundo? Come on guys. It's not that it's racist, it's just stupid. On to the "White Club". They do have African-American club, yes. But let me point out, that it is not called "BLACK PEOPLE CLUB LOLZ", it is called African-American club. African-American is an ethnicity, meaning, it has its own separate culture. The point of the club would be to celebrate that culture. If you made a "White Club", what exactly would you do? Where I live, there's an African-American club, a Jewish Club, a Korean Arts club, a German Club, and a Latino Club. No one says anything about it. Might I add, German is a white ethnicity, and there are plenty of scholarships for German people, for Jewish people, and I'm pretty sure there is one for Scottish-Irish people. So, stop complaining. When you come up with a good idea, and then people call you racist, then you can complain.

The way they talk to their audience is different. If you want to make a channel for various white ethnicities, then by all means, go ahead. Don't preach to me. You're talking to me as if I personally am bitching because there is no WET. I didn't even know such a thing would ever or could ever exist. Again I'll say, don't preach to me. I don't want a WET. I don't care to have any specific networks dedicated to any particular race. There are so many people of mixed decent thrown together in one TV program that it literally doesn't matter.

well the thing about having a white persons club is that white people can come from all different countries or descendent, for example, an itilian, german, and irish can all be considered white, but if you try and make all different races into one club when coming from completely different countries, it doesnt really work out because they wouldnt be able to relate to each other. And people are just considered white and nothing else sometimes because their family from way back when came into this country and they lost traditions from their culture, therefore not really having any experience with thier culture. Thats why people branch out and make a german club, or italian club, or irish ect. And if you really wanted to make a white club there would really be anything to do in it since the american culture is so different you wouldnt really be able to categorize it.

Not all Jews have the same culture. Not all Africans have the same culture. Not all Hispanics have the same culture. But, somehow, you group them all as one. Not all Europeans have the same culture either. In the USA, many Whites are of mixed European ancestry, maybe 1/4 Irish, 1/4 German, 1/4 Italian, and 1/4 French. But, the White European cultures are closer together than nonWhite cultures. Sure, there may be German scholarships, not that I've seen them. But, on the SAT, there is no bubble to fill in if you have German ancestry.
But, there is a bubble to fill in if you are a "Black American" that wants a chance to win a few scholarships.
What would we put on WET? The same question, instead with BET, was probably asked right before it's creation.
So, stop complaining. When you come up with a good idea, and then people call you racist, then you can complain.
Then I can complain. I think a nation exclusively for Whites should exist, and people call me racist for THAT reason - when TV stations for one people exist, clubs, scholarships, ect.
