So, we had some record snow fall the other week, and tree branches were breaing off left and right.

I saw this stupid native american kid throwing snowballs at moving cars. I noticed the tree branch above him was cracking. suddenly, the tree branch snapped and it fell on him. he was only 14 or so, but I cant bring my self to feel bad for him. Honestly, I find my self thinking it would be better for the world if he didnt make it, I think its natural selection, weeding out the trash of this sociaty....

Am I a horrible person?

Natural selection is survival of the fittest, not survival of the most worthy. Society's 'trash' is an individual opinion and who is worthy to live is also an individual opinion. Also, you don't know enough about the kid to be able to judge whether he deserved it just because he was throwing snowballs at cars. He could have a rough life at home or school or something like that. But I do admit that a tree branch falling on someone is pretty funny,no matter who it is.

that depends. do you think he should have been weeded out because he is native American? because a tree branch falling on a kid is such a chance that it hardly applies to natural selection. now if you town was hit with a deadly epidemic and he died because his immune system wasn't suited to fight this disease that would be natural selection, the world could care less about the color of his skin or if he was throwing snowballs at cars.
