Yeah, Vista has a lot of problems.  Confusing isn't one that I've heard, but I suppose you can still wipe the computer and install XP.

Every time a new OS is released, there's always the same backlash.  It's perfectly understandable though, Vista was delayed for so long that people got so used XP that the change is somewhat uncomfortable.

Give Vista a chance... it really is a great system despite all the haters out there.

And no... you can't legally get XP without buying an XP license.  I don't think your computer manufacturer will be willy to supply you with XP free of charge seeing as you already have a Vista license activated on your computer.

What issues are you having? Interface wise, they haven't changed the basics.

As for getting XP, not very practical, you would have to go buy yourself a copy and install it yourself.
