So many people I know do this:

You try to have an intelligent argument about a issue that often gets brought up as a religious thing, like abortion.

They say, well I'm pro-life. The only reason they say they are pro-life is because of God.

Okay, you can believe what you want.

But then you ask them if they'd ever have sex with their boyfriend in high school.

They say sure.

You tell them well God doesn't want you to do that either.

They say, it doesn't matter what God says.

Basically, do you think if someone believes in something primarily because of God they should believe the the "God side" in the rest of their arguments?

Any argument with God is not an intelligent argument, you should know that.


Thats like arguing "the sky is green because this imaginary ghost told me so". When in reality the sky is visibly blue.

it's so annoying. my friends are like "Oh yeah sure I believe in God, but in my own way" if they say they are Christians why don't they act like it?

I do. I know what's against the morals of my religion, and I try to watch out from doing things that go against them..

Those are called hypocrites, and they annoy me...
