We discussed this in Eng 102. Women are more passive, men are more aggressive, in writing styles anyway.

So you if you know how to catch passive voice, it's probably a women, unless she's gotten really good at overcoming that.

Passive/submission and active/ dominance, and many other things create the impression. I've been wrong and I'm sure I could be tricked easily if it were someone intention because I automatically assume my impression was wrong if it doesn't match their gender listing.

I think bearsy is a girl and that you are a guy. Obviously bearsy could just be a weird male troll pretending be be a girl but whatever. I'm just speaking generally as I've been very wrong in the past I used to think unusualone was a guy.

Well, I'm a chick and I think part of why it can be hard to tell by age group is because when you have to start writing formal papers, you have to catch yourself being passive. It's something I work hard on, so I'm very flattered.

I'm down for the experiment though. I think it'd be really interesting.

It can't really be tested in an environment where the writers know they are being tested however.

I think it is easier or just as easy to tell in any age group at any level of education, though.

Also, intellectual forum members are not better writers than anyone over the age of fifteen in dtrm, at all.

There are noticeable differences between male and female writing.

There is an internet tool that I once used that figured out I was male, and managed to figure out my cousin was female. From just our writing.

Incredible.

People frequently mistook me for male, to where it got to the point that I had to make signs and shit. I don't know if I can post here or not, I don't remember taking the intellectual test, but I thought it was obvious the writing difference between males and females. What interests me more is the obvious handwriting difference though, and how certain styles of writing are "in style". Mine looks like a little's boy's.
