How do you feel when you hear that phrase? I heard it from a movie and it spoke volumes to me. I think I gave up on faith a while ago.

God has allowed man to have free will, and that is what people have done with it. Evil acts in no way disprove God...

It's an event that was kind of irrelevant to God's existence, but whatever floats your boat. More so, I think the quote speaks of emotion.

Ok how I feel about this:
in terms of God, suffering exists as a means to test his subjects - to see if they remain a follower even through trials and tribulation. It is easy to say "I believe in God" when living in wealth but it takes true belief to do so when living in a shithole.

The same thing that I think when people say if wars have occurred then God cannot exist. Whilst I may not believe in God, things like that are certainly no indication to disprove the existence of God. People took it upon themselves to do evil actions, it wasn't God that did them. Whilst God's intention might have been for good to allow man to do what they want, free will will always bring with it good and bad.

I personally don't believe in God anyways, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Life's a trial, right? That which doesn't destroy your faith makes it stronger?

I always find it odd. It is not like Auschwitz was the first terrible thing to have happened.

God gave us free will.

We had but two options.

Be tantamount slaves to God and dutifully obey every order or be our own creatures with decision making skills.

Auschwitz exists because of the free will of humans not because of the lack of caring that God has towards us.
