dont use it as much, and leaving it on charge after its fully chared runs the battery down

When you first get a battery, charge it for something like 24 hours. After that try your best to charge it to full, and then only recharge it once it is dead. You might get some times where you will charge it half way, but I usually like to make it complain of low battery to the point where it turns itself off before I recharge it. It has a good battery life.

When charging your phone, dont let it plugged in for over the period of charging. When it says battery full, take it out. Yes, the charging does cancel when it says battery full, however some claim that it can interfere with battery life.
Also, when playing videos or ringtones, do not set the volume too high, as this sucks the battery extremely quick. Do not expose it to direct sunlight for long periods of time, as this also damages the battery, and screen.
Have the settings put the screensaver on quickly, so your screen will not be used as long and this will also dramatically increase your battery life.
