There's a lot of rambling going on about how white people are incapable of being "proud" they are white so I kinda wanted to share my opinion as to why that is.
It's not that you can't have white pride...it's just that there's too many negative connotations linked with it. Nobody can take away the fact that you are proud to be white unless you let them...it's not like it's a fucking tangible object. Take into consideration the fact that white pride has been associated with the Nazi movement, the KKK, and various other hate organizations in the mainstream...so when one says "White Pride" it is viewed as an act of racism. When black people say Black Power it is viewed as an act of expression that they are content with who they are when people criticize them for it and overcoming challenges faced with being black.
Now whether or not an individual means what I've mentioned here when they express their "pride" is totally up for debate...I'm simply telling you what the public (white, black, arab, asian, martian) will think when they see these words. That's just the way it is...life's unfair. Most people who bitch about not being able to have "white pride" are even bigots themselves....therefore hindering any type of change the term White Pride can have to morph into a more positive meaning. So when you go off about how white people can't have pride or their own month ya-la-la because "these niggers perpetuate double standards I wish they'd all burn in hell etc etc"...realize you're just shooting yourself in the foot.
I personally don't see why people need to have pride in their ethnicity first and foremost before having pride in their individual selves. Both concepts are ridiculous especially in this day and age.

Hmm, interesting. Though I guess I've never felt the need to be proud of being white. What is there to be proud of, after all? What's the point on having pride in your skin color? Be proud of yourself for other, actual important reasons.

I can't disagree with what you said and I just want to say that, as you allude to, "White Pride" has nothing to do with pride. It is a euphemism for racism by some white people (who might be surprised if they went back in their own geneology!).
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck. If someone uses the phrase "white pride" it means white originated racism.
Period.

White people don't have to have pride in their ethnicity because they are the majority in most developed nations. Much like how straight people don't need to have pride in their sexuality, because they are the majority.
Minorities sometimes feel that they need to have pride groups as a sort of affirmation of who they are; that despite the fact that they are not the majority, it is all okay.

You do realize those immigrants where here for a good long time working their asses off contributing more in one year then the new immigrants do in their entire time here right? Granted, America was built on immigration. But im tired of new age immigrants waving flags of their old country and refusing to speak English when so many other immigrants from Asia/Europe tried to learn it almost immediately.

What a terrible generalization. I agree that there are plenty of immigrants that don't speak English, are here illegally, etc. but you're overlooking many, many people. There are plenty of hardworking immigrants who are here legally and who bust their asses to learn English.
I personally know many of them, and am aware enough to know that they exist in all parts of the country. You have tunnel vision when it comes to immigrants...
