i don't cut my wrists.
they're too obvious.
i cut my hips.
i know, that sounds stupid. but it always helped me.

but I HATED DOING IT. and without telling anyone at all that i'd been doing it for months, i stopped. it was hard. i stopped for a whole week.

and i was so proud.

it was a week yesterday.


what did i do today?
cut.
but the blood scared me so much this time...

this is more ashamed than i've ever been.

Don't worry about it. To me if you stopped for a week it shows you can do it. Next time, when you are ready try stopping for two weeks. Keep doing that, even if you start cutting again, just try and stop longer each time and it will get easier.

Thats the way I did it, I have now stopped for over two months.

Yes... but don't forget, you DID stop for a week, and that means you can do it again.  Whenever it comes to something liek this, you are bound to have relapses into it, but don't let that make you forget the achievements you've had.  If you've done it once, you can do it again.

Don't be ashamed, it's a part of learning and getting over it.  Just work at it again, and remember the dislike you felt from today.  Let that help motivate you to stop :).

I take if you've never had the urge to cut before?

If you haven't, then you can't expect to understand it.  But it's the same idea as those that get addicted to drugs or alcohol because of the momentary relief they receive from stress or problems.

Again, if you haven't been through the feeling that pushes for cutting, then you won't be able to understand the concept or the reason that others do it.
