I'm looking for part-time work in Dublin, mainly at the weekend, but I wouldn't say no to some 6-9 work a couple of evenings during the week.

Security is the work I think I'd be most likely to get due to my experience with the army, and as far as I know you dont need any qualification to do store security in Ireland, unlike security guards and bouncers.

Store security seems dreadfully boring...

Anyway since I'm at home and cant look now in Dublin, I searched monster.ie and found this:

http://tinyurl.com/5drkam" target="_top">http://http://tinyurl.com/5drkam

Its a bit confusing, because in the search I specified Dublin and its talking about the Cork area even though it says Dublin at the top somewhere too.

Anyway, when you're looking for shit part time work, do you just randomly go into shops and hand in your CV? Or how do you do it?

Because here at home Ive always asked friends if there's vacancies where they're working, and if so they'll refer me and Ill get a call. But I cant do that here in Dublin.

I go around handing in CVs, looking on gumtree.com and other job sites. Going to the job centre.
There's loads of ways, it's just reallly boring!
