I overheard two frat guys today at lunch making dirty jokes about lesbians.  And then my random mind started wondering how fraternities feel about accepting homosexual members.  I know a lot of guys (particularly, I'd think, the stereotypical frat guy) are homophobic, so I wanted at ask.

So, do fraternities at your college welcome, or even allow homosexual members?

Where's the "I have no clue, but I'm sure they have to let them because discrimination is not allowed based on sexuality and they'll get hell from the GLBT group on campus if they don't allow them" option?

I know several homsexuals that are in fraternities.

They may not be happy about it, but they must allow them by law, otherwise it's discrimination.

Exactly. They have to allow them, even if though they may not like it.

Although, at my school, most gays join the academic frats, not the social ones.

There are several gays in fraternities at my college.  But, I am from the Northwest, so the Greek system does not have WASPy, racist, homophobic, elitist undertones that are present in Fraternities east of the continental divide.
