So, I sit here pretty much all day, working on homework, watching TV with my roommate, and listening to her complain about the drama in her life. I thought we were getting close... Theeeennn...she gets up and starts putting her socks and shoes on without saying a word. "Going to see 'John'? I thought you weren't going to talk to him yet?" "Oh, no, 'Carry' and I are going to KFC. I just want to get away from here for a while so I don't have to deal with 'John' yet. Do you...think I could borrow some money? Just like six or seven bucks, I'll pay you back, I promise." No invite...no offer to buy me anything...just, "Can I have some cash? Thanks!" Yeah, I'm irritated...because now I'm sitting here hungry while those two goth girls sit there stuffing their faces with chicken while watching Tremors 3. Come Thursday, unless I really want to go out, I'm not going to be everyone's free ride, my roommate can walk.

Fuck, I'm not going to beg her to take me along with her everywhere. That's an incredibly stupid idea when you take into account the fact that she thinks to take me with her when she needs a ride to wherever she's going but forgets I exist when she doesn't.
I never said beg, I said ask.
It feels like begging. She knows I'm new here, she knows I'm up for going out, etc. She feels comfortable talking to me about her problems and asking me for money and a ride but it never once occurred to her that it might hurt my feelings that she excludes me from everything else?

Get over it? What kind of halfassed advice is that? I'm not sitting here bawling, I'm just irritated. And I, in no way, indicated that I believe this sort of thing only happens to me, I'm not an idiot. I'm just pissed off. However, I will take your advice about the money thing. As far as I'm concerned, I'm out.

thats the best way to be, i dont have it. every other damn college kid is broke, and unless her sorry ass is working, you wont ever see it. and as far as im concerned i did the whole pick up roomies wasted, and blah blah, freshman year so i could "fit in" but my sophmore year, fuck that, they never paid me for gas or insurance or tires or oil. and i was like um, naw man, im sorry i cant i gotta test, then their drunk ass's would forget and they only called for rides and shit. in college ppl are great for using others. only help your friends. the ones that call and say hey, wanna tag to taco bell, or wanna go hitup a movie? those are your friends. not the fuckers that say hey, wanna go to best buy? oh wait were taking you car and btw 3 others a re coming. are you kidding!? lol sorry long day = big rant. good luck to you!
